  1. Hi TypeType, is this rebrand already implemented? And which branch of Cartoon Network does use TT Norms? Or is this a proposal?

I’m asking because I don’t see any TT Norms on cartoonnetwork.com – that site uses Intervogue.

Gimmick Studio – who show these images on their website – is based in Montréal, Canada – cartoonnetwork.ca currently uses Open Sans. According to MobileSyrup,

Teletoon is set to be rebranded as Cartoon Network in Canada, while the current Cartoon Network channel is being rebranded as Boomerang to avoid confusion.

  2. As a motion graphics historian myself, they used this branding for a little bit, but then randomly decided “nah let’s use this pastel branding instead”. Kind of reminds me of other brands ditching an already well working brand like Baskin Robbins and Warner Bros’s shield.

  3. Thank you, Quinn! So this design was introduced in 2022, and already outphased again in early 2023 – wow.

I narrowed down the dates for the website with the help of the Wayback Machine: cartoonnetwork.com still used ITC Lubalin Graph and Avenir Next Rounded in early February 2022, and swapped the former for TT Norms later that month. TT Norms was still in use in April 2023, and got replaced with Intervogue later that month.
