The Swiss Grand Award for Design is a prestigious award given annually by the Swiss Federal Office of Culture (BAK) to Swiss designers and design offices who have made significant contributions to the reputation of Swiss design both domestically and internationally. The Federal Design Commission recommends the recipients based on the quality and charisma of their work. The prize is awarded alongside the Swiss Design Awards in a ceremony held in Basel and presented in the Swiss Design Awards exhibition. The award is regarded as the highest merit in the Swiss design and art community.
Since 2021, the award’s visual identity has been in charge of London-based Studio Ard, who has used LL Geigy and LL Geigy Mono across all its communication material which includes printed matter, exhibition design and social media.
