Sex Machine is a 1970 double album from James Brown, backed by the original J.B.’s featuring brothers “Bootsy” (bass) and “Catfish” (guitar) Collins. It was released on King Records (Cincinnati) and later Polydor Records.
Back cover with the (not fully accurate) claim “Recorded live…” in all-caps Helvetica. The track list is set in all-lowercase Univers Bold Condensed, arranged in staircase lines. “James Brown” is in Neil Bold with a raised j.
