Book design of the short story “The Lottery” by Shirley Jackson. An exploration between content and form that seeks to translate the essence of the story into graphic resources. The challenge was also to use only black typography as an expressive medium. The general concept of the design focused on the use of large blocks of text as a metaphor for the limited and square vision that reflects the story with respect to the traditions. This work is the result of the typography course in the Master in Visual Design at Elisava.
