As part of the creation of a new islet in the Arcachon Bay in the French Gironde region, I worked on a new graphic identity introducing the real estate project in its greographical and architectural context. Along with the help of the construction company and the architect Paul-Henry Verdier of Aldebert Verdier Architectes, we worked on the presentation booklet finding inspiration in the local architectural heritage and the parc in order the provide a summer and seaside vision. This direction is inspired by research into the Ville d’Hiver d’Arcachon, paintings by Félix Vallotton and also Jean-Paul Alaux, in order to emphasize and give rhythm to the pastel colors and the Art Nouveau elements present on the traditional facades.
For retrieving this era’s state of mind and the curves and lines of the local architectural, I chose three distinct typefaces: one showing the spectacular Art Nouveau aspect, Love; the other one, Neutra, for its stability and architectural tradition and Spectral for my principal texts.
