Jahresstruktur 2022/23, HKB Bern

For the 2022/23 annual schedule of the design department VisKom at the Hochschule der Künste Bern (HKB), Massimiliano Audretsch design two banners. The banners are placed as a curtain in the middle of the departments space, for everyone to see and to walk trough.

While Audretschs’ design from a distance heavily relies on the lead image, the typography holds a purely informational purpose. Set in G2 Kosmos for all text, the banners use the typefaces’ softness and combine it with the quirky appeal of some very simple, vector based illustrations to contrast the surrounding 3d sculptured hands and pretty dry content of a timetable.
