Αποστροφές (“Apostrophes”) is an independent experimental publication of 15-syllable verses based on Cretan tradition (mantinades), written by Argyris Athanasiades: “Verses of love, aversions of time”.
Due to the small size of the book, and the contrast caused by the use of big typographic elements, we wanted to create a pocket publication destined to be read on the spot – on the peak of the moment and its longing. In parallel, the same feeling of forwardness and directness is also met in the illustrations, where single-line drawings express the total of the content – the same way it happens in mantinades.
