Johannes Bennke is the author of the bilingual publication (German and English). From intercomverlag:
This book presents, for the first time, a photographic record of the reconstruction of the Neues Museum, Berlin, by David Chipperfield Architects. These photographs show how images not only document the architectural and restorative handling of cultural memory, but also help to shape it. This book takes a media cultural studies perspective to explore what images of building processes show, how they affect the construction itself, and what we can learn from them.
Designer Reinhard Schmidt used Lector FSL throughout the whole book. Printing and binding by DZA Druckerei zu Altenburg.
