Netsh – Neural Netshworks album art

Neural Netshworks is an album by Netsh, released on Lyon-based label Comic Sans Records in 2018. Born in 1995 and based in Toulouse, France, Netsh is a producer of acid, braindance, electro, jungle and even a touch of hardcore.
The design of this album is based on a joke about the name of the label, which refers to the typeface Comic Sans. A typeface often mocked as low-end, so it goes hand in hand with the phrase “graphic designer was too expensive”. Along with the typeface that’s considered as cheap, the illustrations adopt a style as if a child had made the cover in Microsoft Paint.
The designer is Cecilia Martinez de Puig. She also designed the limited edition (not shown here), which features the basic illustrations in a cleaner, professional design, similar to thoses shown on the record labels.
