FRYKY KRYPY BOX by Weird Electronic Devices
Weird Electronic Devices (WED) is a noise-experimentation workshop developed by sound artists, Space Cadet and ERREOPEO, in collaboration with Lava Studio. WED was commissioned by Palmas 1535 as part of its youth summer program and was set at its delusional crimson hall.
FRYKY KRYPY BOX is the synthesis of a thorough research conducted by the WED collective, which allowed not only to deliver a wholesome day program, but also an alluring, anodized-aluminum toy for noise making. Whereas the object is customizable from almost every single angle (superficially and compositionally in terms of sound), every graphic decision maintains a strict dialogue with function, providing space and possibility for sound intervention.
