Catherine Garcia is a British photographer. Her work focuses on documenting and celebrating the simple, authentic beauty of people and places.
Working with natural and available light, and instinctively graphic compositions, Catherine’s approach is to embrace spontaneity, and the ever-changing conditions of a day are welcome and key. Her aim is to tell stories in a natural, intimate, and strikingly stripped-back way.

Our Time is an ongoing personal photography and video series by Catherine Garcia, featuring some of the most pioneering minds in the fields of art, photography, design, fashion, film and music.
Cat approached us to create a distinctive aesthetic for this second instalment, using ‘Time’, ‘Film’ and ‘Script Formats’ as the key themes for our creative. Deliverables included logotype, bespoke typeface, visual identity system, social templates and website.
We teamed with Frost to customise a [then] un-released mono sans-serif, complete with bespoke glyphs created specifically for this project. The result is FT System Mono, an extension of the Blank family, set in 13 cuts and 13 weights, from Skeleton to Black.
According to Catherine Garcia, “The site is home for the series to live and grow – it’s playful to navigate, and thoughtful in its design, acknowledging the time theme in a simple and sympathetic manner.”
