His wife and son are interested in other things: inwardness, mindfulness and environmental issues drive them; but Pascal Gschwind does not even realise that here, already quietly, very quietly, a first time bomb is ticking in his life.

When the rare earth rapacitanium is suddenly discovered in Beatenberg on Lake Thun, activists and scientists come on the scene and campaign in vain against the first exploratory drillings. Gschwind takes over the PR work here as well.

A short time later, Lake Thun suddenly begins to lose water. This is followed by slight earth tremors and irregularities that do not bode well.

Pascal Gschwind, completely focused on his work, loses closeness to his family in the course of his overload, which makes him do things that have just as catastrophic an effect in the cosmos of his personal life as the drilling has on the natural conditions of Lake Thun. The former family idyll is gone, Switzerland is hit by violent quakes, life is shaken from the bottom up. But how do we go on after this upsetting experience?
