The Southern Travellers Handbook is a sizeable paperbook book issued by British Rail in 1965/66. This, the first issue of the Handbook, contains numerous sections on the railway’s services for the commuter and the leisure traveller as well as information on projects being undertaken especially by the Southern Region.

As the cover shows – a wide range of tastes and travellers (some showing the then prevelant sexual bias) – were catered for in the guide.

Each item on the list is shown in large caps from Condensed Sans-Serif No. 7, in alternating line colors. “Southern” is added in caps from Monotype Grotesque or similar.
