Seeing Scabby is a zine exploration of the large, inflatable rats used by labor unions during strikes, contract negotiations, and boycotts. Aglet Mono mirrors the slightly overfilled, buoyant nature of the totemic balloons, while pointing towards the bare-bones equity of labor’s demands. As a monospace face, it complements the bitmapped images and suggests the underlying codes that construct Scabby as a symbol.
