BESIDE magazine, Issue 11
BESIDE is an independent magazine at the crossroads of nature and culture, a publication on the fringes of hot takes and polarizing discourses. It features personal essays, stories from the field, and ideas—new and old—for better ways to live in the world.
For headlines, the magazine uses a combination of the typeface families Ivar Display, Helvetica Now Display, and Sharp Grotesk to highlight each article’s singularity. Ivar Text is used as the body for its elegance and readability, while Helvetica Now Micro is used for its structure quality in legends and captions.
For its 11th issue, BESIDE explores time’s astonishing plurality: seasons and harvests, rocks and trees, rituals and traditions. Time spent creating and connecting; time saved or gloriously wasted. Because changing the world might just begin with changing our relationship to time.
