Guadalupe (The Strange Shape of Love) is an erotic novel written by Smith Alexander and published by Brandon House in 1967. The cover artist is unknown.
The dramatically inclined grotesk used for the subtitle suggests that the typography was done using a Filmotype machine: Eagle was an original design by the phototype company from Illinois. “Guadalupe” is in Neue Aurora, which was copied by Filmotype as “RGQ”. The wide face used for the author’s name is Microgramma. It was also available for this device under the alias “MM56”. The less condensed sans used for the last two lines is a tad too generic to pinpoint. Judging from the round dots, it might be Filmotype Florida.
