Ideodromio magazine logo and covers
#Ιδεοδρόμιο, αδέσμευτο περιοδικό πολιτικής δράσης και κουλτούρας / φυλλάδα για την παραγωγή αμφισβήτησης (“Ideodromio, independent magazine for political action and culture” and later “mag for the production of contestation”) was a mostly biweekly magazine designed and published by the artist Leonidas Christakis (1928–2009). 67 issues were published between January 1978 and July 1981. After that, it was circulated somewhat erratically during the 1980s, running 126 issues of varying appearance. The magazine was relaunched in 2003, for at least another nine issues.
Its recognizable logo is based on Flash Bold (Edwin W. Shaar). It remained unaltered for almost all issues of the magazine. While Flash was adopted by Letraset for dry transfer lettering, there probably was no Greek version. Chances are that the capital delta (Δ) is a customized A made by Christakis, with the rest of the letters being repurposed Latin ones. Other type choices on the covers include Greek versions or adaptations of various display faces, including Antique Olive Nord and Futura.
In terms of format, the magazine is in fact a – smartly concealed – folded newspaper.

I like the layout and type choices as well as the old style!
I wonder if the tagline is set in a Univers 820 Italic, in a Greek language extension, would it be close enough?
@jay mellor Yeah probably. I’ve been doing some reading lately and turns out Univers was pretty popular at the time.
Is there a digital version of the Antique Olive Nord with Greek character set available anywhere?
