Buddy B – “Stop It I Love It” / “To Touch You” single cover

First solo release by Buddy B AKA Bud Bergsma, a Dutch musician from Utrecht who had previously been a member of the Continental Uptight Band and their follow-up Tenderfoot. The sleeve was printed in two color variants.

The title is set reversed in Gemma, an all-lowercase design by Nicola Russo, with an l (el) repurposed as capital I (eye). The artist’s name might have started out with Ronda Bold by Herb Lubalin and Tom Carnase, another face found in the Mecanorma catalog, with custom elongated extenders. It could have been another geometric typeface, too, or an entirely custom creation.
