Annonce a.k.a. Aurora-Grotesk V in use for Georges Bizet’s Carmen, recorded by Andre Kostelanetz and His Orchestra and issued by Columbia Masterworks in 1954.
A year later, in 1955 – and four decades after the typeface’s original release – the Amsterdam Type Foundry re-issued this wide and heavy design as Vette Annonce.
