Retrospective catalog that compiles six years of activities, more than 30 billboards presented in Brussels’ streets, and many collaborations with great artists.

The typography uses the same fonts as deployed on the Rectangle website: DIN Condensed and Happy Times at the IKOB. The caption underneath the cartoon on the book cover is set in Adobe Caslon.

Rectangle is a Brussels-based and non-profit artist-run space founded in 2012. We have developed a particular interest in advertising and its apparatus. Our purpose is to challenge both its visual language and its proliferation in public and private spaces.

Through more than 30 exhibitions, Rectangle has had numerous and unique collaborations with emerging and more established artists, curators, other artist-run spaces, art schools, galleries, and collectors, with the will to keep on stimulating interactions with a variety of field and medium.

Since 2017, Rectangle took a new turn starting a journey with an itinerant, modular and ephemeral format, enabling geographical adventures and a more complex form of existence.
