S/O Yellow is a German micro roastery that soft-launched its webshop in 2020 with a variety of five roasts. The packages bore the word PRE to indicate that these were preliminary commercial samples to be redesigned once taste testing phase was finished.
The packaging and colors were redesigned for the five final roasts. Each variety is dedicated to a city and its characteristic coffee culture – a journey from Munich via Tokyo to Copenhagen.
Brand logo and labels make use of the reversed stress font Antipol. On the packaging and website it is accompanied by the more sober Roc Grotesk Condensed.
