Hand-cut linoleum for a poetry poster. The different “weights” of Franklin Gothic Bold Condensed have been manually adjusted. Beginning with the original line of Franklin Gothic Bold Condensed “forme die Frist”: upwards the stroke weight got lighter to almost illegible. And downwards heavier to the extreme. The smaller type with editorial info and credits is set in metal Tempo.
The poem by Ilma Rakusa is called “Gedicht gegen die Angst” (Poem against fear). Available as Edition No. 19 from Onepage.
