Wanda is an independent American film from 1970, written and directed by Barbara Loden who also stars in the title role; her first and only film. Set in the anthracite coal region of eastern Pennsylvania, this road movie focuses on Wanda, who goes on the run with a bank robber.
This is our second poster for quality film distributor NonStop Entertainment in a series of films by female directors (the first being Jeanne Dielman, 23, Quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles) that finally gets theatrical release in Sweden. Caslon Doric Condensed was perfect for the short title, along with Ivar Display and Swedish Gothic (both from Letters from Sweden.
