Yarra in use for the cover of the second album by Slovak jazz rock band Fermáta, released in 1977 on Opus Records. The all-caps typeface was drawn by Con Aslanis, an Australian designer with Greek roots. Named after the City of Yarra, Australia, it was a winner in Letraset’s International Typeface Competition 1973. It also appears in the 18 New Type Faces catalog by Letragraphica.
Designer Rastislav Majdlen added a double contour to Yarra and shows the band name in two color combinations: orange, red, and yellow; and yellow, white, and blue.
