  1. The type on their labels, designed by Boga partner Urtzi Ugalde, (partially) refers to its Basque roots: much of the typography uses Harri Display, designed by Juan Luis Blanco and published by Type-Ø-Tones in 2017:

Harri – “stone” in Basque language – is a display font based on the peculiar letter forms used in signs and fascias all over the Basque Country. This idiosyncratic lettering style, very often used as an identity signifier, evolved from ancient inscriptions carved on gravestones which can still be found in the French part of the Basque Country (Behe Nafarroa, Lapurdi and Zuberoa).

Harri comes with a number of alternates that allow tuning up or toning down its “vernacular” look. While most labels are set in the Light weight using Harri’s most neutral characters, the Basque Fresh Hops labels showcase its expressive alternates: a right-leaning A with a top bar and a hooked middle stroke; an R lifting its leg, and a tilted S. For some extra flavour, an U with a foot and a nested O were added.

    Harri is paired with Neutraface.
