Regards du Grand Paris, “Lieu commun”

“Lieu commun” is the third annual edition of Regards du Grand Paris. This free newspaper, distributed in several thousand copies, is designed in collaboration with graphic designer Lionel Catelan. There are images and notes from each of the six artists of this national photographic commission, organized by Atelier Médicis and the National Center for Plastic Arts (Cnap) with the support of the Ministry of Culture: Lucie Jean, Mana Kikuta, Baudouin Mouanda, Maxence Rifflet, Anne-Lise Seusse, Zhao Sun, as well as texts by Sébastien Chambe (town planner), Sébastien Thiéry (political scientist) and Feda Wardak (architect). They also enter a dialog with the images of words by Eva Doumbia, taken from a play, Le iench.
For the typographic design, Lionel Catelan used Mineral by Benoît Bodhuin in several of its styles and paired it with Concorde and Monotype Grotesque. A pdf version of the journal is available for download.
