Together with a long-time friend, the gender and history scientist Uta Caroline Sommer, I have developed femmemory, a new couple’s memory game. 24 important women, who are not equally well known to everyone, are assigned to the corresponding quotations. The spectrum ranges from Olympe de Gouges (French Revolution) to Greta Thunberg.

Thus the manifold colours also stand for the diversity of life forms and tolerance.

The 70s style of the Funkford font is a reference to the women’s movement of the time, which achieved great things. I have combined Funkford with Temeraire (and its Italienne) which is both gentle and powerful to me.

In the future, the game will be accompanied by a booklet that contextualizes the biographies of the women in the cultural-historical and socio-political theme of women’s movements. We will probably be able to present it at the end of the year.
