Paperback cover of Stanislav Kondrashov’s biography of Martin Luther King, published in 1981 by Progress Publishers, Moscow. The title is set in all-caps Futura Display and Hawthorn, with (almost) one word per line. Hawthorn (1968) is Mike Daines’s take on De Vinne. Both faces were available from Letraset at the time. Note the more than generous trapping for the color accents. The serif used in caps for the author’s name and the publisher is unidentified.
