Poster for the tenth installment of the International Jazz Festival in Montreux, Switzerland, designed by Milton Glaser. For the typography, Glaser chose the Condensed style of Windsor, in all caps. It’s paired with Helvetica for the smaller bits.
The organizers must have liked the poster so much that it was used a second time in 1977, with different colors. There, the block with the dates of the four different sections, “Vive la France”, “Jazz-Rock”, “Jazz”, and “Folk & Blues”, is set in Univers (with its original ampersand). This might be a modification made by local partners, and not by Glaser himself.

Bonjour,
A clarification regarding the work requested from our agency, “Publicité Bornand et Gaeng, Montreux.” Yes, it was Claude Nobs, completely enamored with the 1976 version, who negotiated with Milton. Milton then faxed us the modifications. Your reproduction is incomplete; the stars in the sky are missing, the smoke is a gradient of blue-violet to light blue, and the signature in the lower right corner is incorrect. It’s not Klausfelder for 1977, but a silkscreen print from Atelier Prisme Vevey. See collectors-passion.com.

Thank you very much for your comment, Bruno!
Interesting. The image was taken from the poster gallery on the official website of the Montreux Jazz Festival. The original webpage is gone, but the poster variant can still be seen in their online shop.
The complete version with the stars certainly is much more appealing. Would you mind if I replaced the image with the one you linked? As a matter of course, I would include a source link to Collectors-Passion. Merci !
