Released on October 10, 1989, The Biz Never Sleeps is the second studio album by Biz Markie (b. 1964), and the one he would become most known for. It made it to #66 on the Billboard 200 and #9 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, and included his biggest hit, “Just a Friend”.
The album cover portrays the “Clown Prince of Hip Hop” as mad scientist, brewing chemicals and wielding flasks in his lab. The display typeface is the horror classic Frankenstein, which is paired with all-caps Friz Quadrata for the title and the back cover. Art direction and photography by George DuBose, design by Kevin A. Mcdonag.

Florian is the man! Thanks for hooking it up, yet again! Gonna return the many favors someday, somehow!
The Biz never sleeps, neither does Florian!
