Blickfang is an international design fair which takes place every year throughout central Europe in Stuttgart, Hamburg, Cologne, Vienna, Zurich, Basel and Bern.

Zürich’s show required a new identity due to the move into a new exhibition space. The new design needed to differentiate itself from its other European sister events as well as enabling a comprehensive communication system that could prove its flexibility through a multitude of print, digital and spatial applications. Special considerations allowed for the identity to function as animations and moving image cycles.

All typography uses NN Nouvelle Grotesk (Nouvelle Noire).

4 Comments on “Blickfang Zürich”

  1. NN Forever Grotesk with modified lowercase t, at least (see below the original one from the Nouvelle Noire website).

  2. Eagle eye! Customized, or maybe an early form. Note that this Use is from 2017, long before Forever Grotesk was released. Clovis Vallois of Nouvelle Noire was involved in the design of the Blickfang Zürich identity. Chances are it was the first use, featuring a beta version. Clovis, can you confirm?

  3. Hi everyone! Yes, this is a beta version of Forever Grotesk (called NN NeueNeue back then), which was then reworked by Anton Studer before making it available to the public.

  4. Thanks for confirming, Clovis!
