Collectively titled ‘Of Muse and Myth’, our Gift Kits celebrate five of the nine ancient Greek Muses—the inspirational goddesses of the arts.
The series is a welcome example of luxury skin care products that utilize a very expressive typeface – Le Murmure – on the packaging. The rest of the supporting type from Aesop’s standard branding and packaging is much more subdued, as expected for luxury skin care or beauty products. It was chosen with at least some deliberation though: instead of system fonts Helvetica and Optima, it is Suisse Int’l and Zapf Humanist 601. (Or at least those are the fonts used on the website.)
