This protest message from Led By Donkeys was ploughed into a field at Manor Farm, Wiltshire, UK. Via Eye magazine, who comments: “That’s what I call big type.”
It’s big indeed: At a cap height of 40 meters (that’s almost 113,386 PostScript points), it’s said to be the largest-ever Brexit protest message. Technically, this is not type, of course, but lettering, built up from several “strokes” made with the rather unusual tool of a plough. I’ll go out on a limb and claim this piece still qualifies for Fonts In Use. To me, it looks like a clear case of lettering derived from a typeface. The typeface that the letterforms were modeled after what appears to be Century Gothic Bold. See the comments for details.

For comparison, here’s a resetting in Century Gothic Bold. Apart from the heavier stroke width (which can be explained by the lettering technique), all details appear to match, from the M with the splayed legs to the E with three bars of equal length to the characteristic S with the straight spine. Note that even the font’s lack of kerning for the TA and WA pairs was preserved.
