Materia is a design studio based in the Hudson Valley region of New York that focuses on crafting furniture, lighting, and objects that amplify the inherent beauty found in raw materials like stone, brass, calfskin, parchment, steel, porcelain, and wood.
The independent creative studio Athletics worked with Materia to develop a new identity that serves as a foundation for the next chapter of the brand’s evolution. Athletics provided a color palette, typographic system, and responsive visual language that is organic yet refined, rich yet understated, modern yet timeless.
