“Shilo” is a song originally recorded by Neil Diamond in 1967 for Bang Records. It was released only in 1970, by Uni/MCA Records. This is the sleeve for the German release from 1972, with “Brother Love’s Travelling Salvation Show” as B-side.
The font in use is Crosby. The narrow display typeface with the unconventional weight distribution was designed by Joe Taylor and is shown in the 1968 catalog by Lettergraphics. The glyph set depicted below is from their 1969 Letter-Fan.
