Rudolf Koch’s Neuland, with alternating glyph colors on a bouncing baseline, for the cover of B.B. King’s album Live at The Regal.
Recorded on November 21, 1964, at the Regal Theater in Chicago and released in 1965 by ABC-Paramount Records, “the album is widely heralded as one of the greatest blues albums ever recorded and is #141 on Rolling Stone Magazine’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.” The cover was designed by Lee-Myles Associates, Inc., with a photo by Don Bronstein. Liner design by Joe Lebow.
The title on the back cover is presented in all-caps Franklin Gothic. The liner notes by Rick Ward are set in Linotype Baskerville, while the track list appears to use several styles from the News Gothic family.
