“Würzburg is fun!” Undated sticker by the city marketing for Würzburg, the capital of Lower Franconia in the northwest of Bavaria, Germany. The font is Cut-In Bold, used in tightly spaced caps, with the gaps closed (in A, B, H, P, R) and the P’s stem as well as the umlaut dots hyper-extended. While the G is custom (made from O and L?), the “lazy” S and the SS ligature were included in the Letraset version of Maurice Schlesinger’s typeface.

I love this! I’m curious to learn how old this sticker is. Judging from the typeface, my guess would be from the 1980s. Any locals who can weigh in?
What’s really fascinating is the fact that Würzburg macht Spaß still uses this device in 2019. About the only changes deemed necessary are making it monochrome and applying a spherize effect. The versions shown below are both used on the city marketing’s Facebook page.
