One Design built a fresh and engaging multi-channel promotional campaign for Test Flight, AIGA Chicago’s annual emerging designer portfolio review event series. We leaned into the concept of spreading one’s wings in the creative industry while celebrating the unique quality of the individual—all while avoiding obvious visual clichés.
The event title is set with all caps Austin, using Atlas Grotesk for smaller text. Austin as a display-level typeface was selected to relate formally to the organic swooping forms of the butterfly wings that anchor the design system. Whereas Atlas provides significant contrast for the nitty gritty details of communication.
