It was vital to find a typeface that could be equally clear, confident and supportive. Both Atlas and its monospaced counterpart Atlas Typewriter have an optimistic tone and it helps that this type series stems from Dutch Modernism, as Atlas is rooted in Mercator (Amsterdam Type Foundry, 1959).
