The curvaceous yet crisp sans serif, Omnes by Darden Studio is the brand typeface of Vireo Health, a provider of medical marijuana products. As such, it’s used for packaging, ad campaigns, brochures, and the website.
Minneapolis-based design studio Replace employed Omnes in several styles and various treatments. “When we were lucky enough to design this brand identity system, we knew Vireo Health needed a font family that would be able to grow with their quickly expanding business and market needs. The Omnes font family was the perfect choice. The range of cuts, weights, and stylistic options in Omnes has made it a studio favorite for many years along”, says Jeffrey K. Johnson, Owner and Creative Director of Replace. In the packaging designs, Omnes appears in all caps. With its rounded letterforms, the typeface counterbalances the all-lowercase logo and its leaf-like shapes. The ad campaign features mixed-case Omnes, center-aligned, in white against colored backgrounds. In all applications, Omnes helps to convey the message of alternative, natural and safe medical products, according to Johnson. “Omnes has been a flexible and focused font family for the Vireo brand.”
“Ask your doctor about medical marijuana.” Vireo’s poster campaign was the first ever to advertise for medical marijuana in the NYC subway.

The icon style is derived from the rounded stroke endings found in Omnes. “As the Vireo brand rapidly expands, the creative options inherent in Omnes has made this family a great design tools for a great brand.” – Jeffrey K. Johnson
