Mure is an independent online store curating a purposely reduced selection of objects. David and Laia stand for less, but better, and their collection is an appreciation of simplicity, quality and aesthetics.
As our typeface we chose Univers, by Adrian Frutiger: we wanted a typeface that was aligned with our sense of simplicity and quality, and that was fit in our essential aesthetics. We thought that Univers had all of that, plus a beautiful name. It is an iconic sans-serif typeface with a simple and clear design. And it has a consistent family, even though we are only using its 45 Light weight. It also conveys the understated elegance we were looking for. As Adrian Frutiger himself said, “Helvetica is the jeans, and Univers the dinner jacket”.
