The visual identity of the 2018 Alkantara Festival, designed by Ana Teresa Ascensão, using the typeface Usual, is based on a 8,000-word collection of texts from the Alkantara archives. Excerpts from performances and catalogues, written by artists, artistic directors, journalists, and others, underlay this year’s commemorative program and provide possible readings of the 25-year history of Alkantara/Danças na Cidade.
