German release (1967) for Cream’s single record I Feel Free (B side: N.S.U.).
The band name is set in what looks like a customized version of the same typeface that is used for the song titles: Ludlow Black. Ludlow Black itself is close to Cooper Black, differing in details like the truncated feet.
Using fonts with elongated lower halves was common usance for psychedelica-related design in the 1960s. Instead of stretching Ludlow, the designer could have created a nearly identical design using Somalia, a ready-made ‘platform shoe’ version of Cooper Black.

LOVE it!
Somalia is given with a 1969 date. Chances are this face was inspired by the Cream band logo, which appeared already in 1966.
