Many National Trust sites were home to, and shaped by, people who challenged conventional ideas of gender and sexuality. In 2017, 50 years after the partial decriminalisation of homosexuality, National Trust explored LGBTQ heritage with a programme called Prejudice and Pride.
The Prejudice and Pride publication takes inspiration from the 1980s Silence = Death poster and some of the featured National Trust house decor. Art direction and editorial design by Anna Lincoln.
