Best-of compilation with songs by R&B, soul, and funk singer-songwriter Carl Carlton (b. 1953) who is best known for his 1974 hit “Everlasting Love”, released in 2009. Owen Turley’s Solange may be from 2004, but the amorphous display face looks like it was around already in the early 1970s, and is successfully employed for a period look. The only fly in the ointment is the gap between L and T – Aki Lines (ca. 1973) asks for tight letterspacing.
