Lowell Herrero (1921–2015) was an illustrator and designer who co-founded San Francisco agency Butte, Herrero & Hyde in the 1950s. His true love was painting and he retired from commercial art in the 1990s to paint rotund people, landscapes, and cats. This poster depicting Coit Tower advertises a 1970 show of his paintings at Nut Tree in Vacaville, California. The title is in a (perhaps hand-rendered) Baby Fat by Milton Glaser.
Would the yellow type shadow be better on the other side, given the position of the sun?
