From the website:

In order to emphasize the value design contributes to a city, encourage the development of the industry and praise the contribution outstanding designers make for a better life. Every year, the design biennial is composed of jury members from around the world. With the innovative jury members, participants have the opportunity to broaden their horizon and exchange their ideas, exploring possibilities in design and urban development.

Founded by Macau Designers Association, the Macau Design Biennial has been held for ten editions since 1994. Being a highly representative design competition for the Cross-Strait-Four-Regions, it is the only professional competition in Macau design industry. It seeks to present a new approach to spread out a city’s culture to the Cross-Strait-Four-Regions as well as Asia through series activities including: professional competition, awards ceremony, exhibitions, seminars and so on. Through these efforts, it assists local designers to gain international recognition and enable the public to realize the importance of design acting as an essential element in their daily life as well as sustainable economic development, enhancing public’s understanding in the design industry, so as to improve design industry’s professional image.

Signed K2, the Biennial’s website situates itself right in the current trend of neo-international style and default design. So what better typeface than Untitled Sans? The Chinese version of the website features a truly untitled typeface, calling for a local copy of either PingFang (Apple default) or JhengHei (Microsoft default, pictured) in its font stack.
