Backstage Talks is an annual in-depth interview magazine created by the team behind By Design Conf in Slovakia. Each issue captures the casual conversations with invited speakers when they’re off the stage. It’s a wonderful insight into the life and ideas of each designer, spread across pages of interviews and big pull quotes in lively, engaging language.
While the speakers answers are set in a classical Adobe Caslon, the cover, questions and dashing centered pull quotes are all set with a single weight of Stratos. The pair works astonishingly well together! Fortescue was formerly used for spread openings in the first issue but has been discarded for the second one.
