Tim Brown’s redesign of his personal website probably is the first public use of Mallory by Tobias Frere-Jones. The fonts were added within hours after Mallory’s release, served via Typekit. A previous version had used Rooney Web. The site combines three styles of Mallory MicroPlus — “addressing the challenges of small text and screen text simultaneously” — with a headline in Carol Twombly’s Adobe Caslon, and a seasonal typographic footer: “‘Merry’ for December is set in Vortice Concept by Miguel Sousa, with an offset painter’s shade.”
