Zoltán Huszárik’s film Csontváry depicts the life of Hungarian artist Tivadar Csontváry Kosztka and an actor playing him in a film (both played by Bulgarian actor Ichak Finci), with the two men’s lives interacting with each other. Tivadar Csontváry Kosztka was part of the avant-garde movement of the early twentieth century. Working mostly in Budapest and he was one of the first Hungarian painters to become known in Europe.
